Saleroom Newsletter – September 2020

We are delighted with the results from our recent online sales – it does prove there is a very healthy demand out there and leaves us feeling very positive for the future. At the moment there is a big demand for jewellery, gold and silver.  As well as these precious metals, Royal Worcester Porcelain is as popular as ever with demand for signed pieces being on a world-wide basis.

Our sales programme is evolving as the new order takes shape, and our next Sale is an Antiques and Fine Art Sale on Thursday, September 10th, with the next Interiors sales being on October the 8th and 22nd.   All sales commence at 10am, and a reminder that on-line bidding is available on two internet platforms – www.the-saleroom.com and www.easyliveauction.com.

Our September sale has a number of headline lots, which include a large collection of hand painted Royal Worcester Porcelain, exceptional Jewellery with a diamond solitaire ring expected to realise £8,0000-10,000, and a Heywood Hardy oil painting similarly estimated. For those with a more eclectic taste we have a cherished motor car registration plate LCP 1 that carries a £15,000-20,000 estimate. The catalogue will be online from the evening of Friday, 4th September, and will be updated with further images and estimates on Monday, 7th September. Viewing and saleroom attendance is strictly by appointment.

On the media front there are a number of Bargain Hunt 20th anniversary specials in the pipeline, and Philip has just finished filming a series of the Antiques Road Trip with a fresh series commencing this weekend, 5th September. The Road Trips are likely to be aired next Spring which will be about the time that Philip’s third book should hit the shelves.
